Berry Writers Festival
  21st - 23rd October 2022

Perrie Croshaw

Perrie Croshaw’s first career was in journalism, working at The Australian, The Sydney Morning Herald, The Financial Times in London, Westpac’s Private Bank magazine and Monash Graduate School’s, Monash Business Review. She wrote Money Matters: Financial Management for Women.

Perrie now writes about the environment and local birdlife for The Bugle, Kiama’s local Newspaper, Birdlife Shoalhaven and The New Bush Telegraph.

She previously worked as Secretary of the South Norfolk Friends of the Earth, and in 2018 and 2019 started and ran The Bird Haven Festival, a 3-day celebration of the magic, song and colour of birds. This festival took place in Shoalhaven Heads where small migratory Eastern Curlews flew overwinter before flying home, non-stop, to breed in Siberia and Alaska – magic!

Perrie lives in Gerroa (where endangered Pied Oyster Catchers still breed!)
