Sandra Goldbloom Zurbo

Sandra Goldbloom Zurbo is a writer, freelance editor, and proof-reader for leading academic and trade publishers. Her first novel,The Book of Rachel, was translated into German and her most recent work is a memoir published in 2023, My Father's Shadow. Several of her short stories and poems have been published in literary magazines, including Griffith Review and Westerly.

In 1982, Sandra bought her first computer and with it established Dead Set, the first desktop publishing company set up to work specifically with book and journal publishers. Since her teens, Sandra has been an antiwar and women’s liberation activist. Born and raised in St Kilda, she now lives, gardens and writes in Castlemaine, where for more than two years she had a bebop jazz program on community radio MAIN-FM. A chunk of her heart resides in New York.
