Bernadette Foley has worked as a fiction and non-fiction publisher for many of Australia’s leading publishing companies, including at Hachette Australia and Pan Macmillan. She works closely with highly regarded authors such as Di Morrissey, Thomas Mayo and Professor Marcia Langton, and has helped many emerging writers build their careers.
For services to the publishing industry, Bernadette received the George Robertson Award.
She established and lectured in the UTS Graduate Certificate in Editing and Publishing and lectured in the Masters of Publishing at Sydney University. She leads online writing workshops for the Australian Writers Centre and conducts her own workshops.
Since 2015, Bernadette has run Broadcast Books, through which she assists writers to develop their skills, and collaborates with authors to publish their books independently to a professional standard.
