Corey Tutt is a Kamilaroi man who was born on Yuin Country in Nowra on the New South Wales south coast and the author of Before it Was Called Science. He now lives on Birpii/Dhungatti Country. He is the CEO and founder of DeadlyScience, and in 2020 was named the NSW Young Australian of the Year and a Human Rights Hero by the Australian Human Rights Commission. He is an Associate Professor at Western Sydney University. This is Corey’s fourth book following The First Scientists, This Book Thinks Ya Deadly! and Caution! This Book Contains Deadly Reptiles.
