Fiona Weir is the co-owner of Buena Vista Farm, a small mixed farm in Gerringong which operates under organic principles. She has been a dairy goat farmer and cheesemaker, a pasture-raised meat chicken producer, flower farmer and veggie grower and has run a cooking school on the farm for almost fifteen years. Buena Vista’s cooking classes teach traditional food preparation such as sourdough baking, cheesemaking and fermenting and in 2022 Hardie Grant published Fiona’s cookbook, ‘From Scratch’. Fiona is a freelance writer and a regular columnist for Country Style Magazine, and with her husband Adam practices sustainable agriculture on their farm, living to talk to people about food, how it’s made and grown, and to share their deep, deep love of dairy goats.
