Greg Melleuish is a professorial fellow at the Menzies Institute and a fellow of Campion College. He has written extensively on Australian political ideas, history, politics and religion, including Cultural Liberalism in Australia (CUP 1995) and Free Individual or Despotic State: Two Traditions of Democracy in Australia (Australian Scholarly Publishing 2014). His most recent books are (with Stephen Chavura) The Unknown Menzies: The World Picture of Australia’s Longest-Serving Prime Minister MUP 2021) and, (with Susanna Rizzo) Understanding Piety and Theology in the Culture of the West: The Poetic Life (Routledge 2026). He is currently completing a book on Menzies The Forgotten People, with Zachary Gorman. He is a member of the editorial board of Telos and of the Dorchester Review, and Cultural History section editor for Histories.
