Jennifer Robinson

Jennifer Robinson is one of the world’s most respected human rights lawyers and advocates. A barrister at Doughty Street Chambers in London, she has acted in landmark international law, human rights and media freedom cases, including defending WikiLeaks and Julian Assange, representing Amber Heard, securing asylum for West Papuan leader Benny Wenda, and bringing climate change before the International Court of Justice.

Jen is the author of Silenced Women (Hachette UK) and How Many More Women (Allen & Unwin, with Dr Keina Yoshida), now adapted into the feature documentary Silenced, which premiered at Sundance 2026 and opened the Sydney Film Festival.

Her honours include the 2026 Sydney Peace Prize, the 2024 Marie Claire Powerhouse of the Year Award and British GQ Hero 2023. Originally from regional Australia, she is a passionate advocate for public education and a Rhodes Scholar.
