Mark Tredinnick, one of our most esteemed poets, is also a nature writer, essayist, memoirist, creative writing teacher, writing mentor, and book publisher. Once upon a time he was a lawyer. The father of five and the keeper of four horses, Mark lives (with his wife Jodie) and writes along the Wingecarribee on Gundungurra Country (in Bowral).
His many books include The Little Red Writing Book, Bright Crockery Days, House of Thieves and Nine Carols. Chain of Ponds: New & Selected Poems is out this September. Mark is the Managing Editor of 5Islands Press, a poetry press founded in Port Kembla in the late 1970s by Ron Pretty, and rebirthed by Steve Meyrick and Mark in late 2023.
