Alyssa J. Montgomery is a USA Today Bestselling author of contemporary and rural romance as well as rural romantic suspense. In 2025, her title Return to Hope Creek won the RUBY Award (Romance Book of the Year) for long contemporary romance, and the Hope Creek series has also won a couple of ARRA Awards. Alyssa frequently teaches courses through the South Coast Writers’ Centre and speaks on panels at writing festivals. She also writes medieval romantic fiction as Alyssa James.
Both traditionally published (Harper Collins) and self-published, Alyssa has recently returned from an extensive library tour to promote her Indie published rural romantic suspense “Whispers at Wattle Crossing”.
